Intensive course in Molecular Biology
The intensive course in molecular biology give interested pupils, students an teachers the opportunity to gain intensive insight into modern molecular biology ant to carry out genetic and protein-biochemic experiments by themselves. In 5 days the basics of genetical engeneering and molecular biology are conveyed in theory and practice.
In the laboratory the gene for the green flourescing protein (GFP) will be isolated, cloned and transferred into a bacterium. The recombinant clones are detected by a polymerase-chain-reaction. From an identified positive clone the GFP will be separated by affinity chromatography and further analysed.
Short lectures provide the theoretical background.
